Installation and activation

Prerequisites and versions​

Before installing Zapier for Free Downloads WooCommerce, ensure you have:

  • WordPress 6.4 or higher
  • WooCommerce 8.0 or higher (active)
  • Free Downloads for WooCommerce Pro installed and activated
  • PHP 7.4 or higher

This addon only works with the Pro edition of Free Downloads for WooCommerce. The free edition is not supported.

Download the addon​

  1. Log in to your WP Enhanced account.
  2. Go to your downloads or product page for Zapier for Free Downloads WooCommerce.
  3. Download the addon ZIP file.

Install the addon​

  1. In WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New.
  2. Click Upload Plugin and choose the addon ZIP file.
  3. Click Install Now, then Activate Plugin.

Activate your license​

  1. After activation, go to WP Enhanced > Free Downloads Woo and open the License tab.
  2. Under Addon licenses, find Zapier for Free Downloads WooCommerce.
  3. Enter your license key from your WP Enhanced account and click Validate.
  4. The addon will check for updates automatically while the license is active.

Verify installation​

  • No PHP errors or “plugin could not be loaded” messages appear.
  • You can configure the Zapier webhook URL under WP Enhanced > Free Downloads Woo > Zapier (see Settings reference).
  • After setting up a Zap, a test free download sends data to Zapier as expected.

If the addon does not load or you see errors, ensure Free Downloads WooCommerce Pro is active and that your PHP and WordPress versions meet the requirements.

Next steps​

After installation:

  • Add your Zapier webhook URL in the addon or Pro settings.
  • Create a Zap in Zapier with a Webhooks by Zapier trigger to receive the data.
  • Test with a free download on the frontend.
