Symptom: License won't activate​

Likely causes

  1. Incorrect or expired key — Check your WP Enhanced account for the correct key and that the license is valid.
  2. Site URL change — Licenses can be tied to the site URL; moving or cloning the site can invalidate activation.
  3. Server can't reach license server — Firewall or hosting blocking outbound HTTPS to wpenhanced.com.

What to do

  • Re-enter the license key exactly (no extra spaces).
  • Confirm the license is for “Free Downloads Pro - Zapier” and is active.
  • If the problem continues, contact support with your site URL and license email.

Symptom: Data isn't reaching Zapier​

Likely causes

  1. Wrong or missing webhook URL — The Zapier webhook URL in WordPress is incorrect, has a typo, or wasn’t saved.
  2. Zap not turned on — The Zap is in draft or off; Zapier only receives data when the Zap is on.
  3. Free download not completing — The addon sends data when a free download is completed (e.g. after email capture). If the user doesn’t complete the flow, nothing is sent.
  4. Server blocking outbound requests — Hosting or firewall blocking POST requests to hooks.zapier.com.

What to do

  • In WordPress, confirm the Zapier webhook URL matches the one in Zapier (Webhooks by Zapier > Catch Hook).
  • In Zapier, turn the Zap On and run a test by doing a free download on your site.
  • Complete a full free download (submit email if required, then download) and check Zapier for a new trigger.
  • If nothing appears, check server or PHP error logs for blocked requests; contact support if needed.

Symptom: Addon or settings not visible​

Likely causes

  1. Free Downloads WooCommerce Pro not active — The addon requires Pro. Activate Pro and reload the admin.
  2. Addon not activated — Ensure the Zapier addon is activated under Plugins.
  3. Wrong page — Zapier settings and the addon license are in the React settings page, not the legacy Dashboard tabs.

What to do

  • Confirm Pro and the Zapier addon are both active.
  • Go to WP Enhanced > Free Downloads Woo. Use the Zapier item in the sidebar for the webhook and field options; use the License tab for the addon license (under Addon licenses).
