Installation and activation

Prerequisites and versions​

Before installing CRM for Free Downloads WooCommerce, ensure you have:

  • WordPress 6.4 or higher
  • WooCommerce 8.0 or higher (active)
  • Free Downloads for WooCommerce Pro installed and activated
  • PHP 7.4 or higher

This addon only works with the Pro edition of Free Downloads for WooCommerce. The free edition is not supported.

Download the addon​

  1. Log in to your WP Enhanced account.
  2. Go to your downloads or product page for CRM for Free Downloads WooCommerce.
  3. Download the addon ZIP file.

Install the addon​

  1. In WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New.
  2. Click Upload Plugin and choose the addon ZIP file.
  3. Click Install Now, then Activate Plugin.

Activate your license​

License management for WP Enhanced plugins is under WP Enhanced > Free Downloads Woo > License. That page shows your existing licenses (e.g. for Free Downloads WooCommerce Pro) and lets you deactivate them if needed. If you have a separate license key for the CRM addon and don’t see a place to add or activate it on that page, contact WP Enhanced support — they can confirm how addon licenses are activated in your setup. Once active, the addon will check for updates automatically.

Verify installation​

  • Go to WP Enhanced > Free Downloads Woo. You should see a CRM / Email tab.
  • Click CRM / Email and confirm you see the add account form (provider dropdown, account name, API key) and the connected accounts area.
  • No PHP errors or “plugin could not be loaded” messages appear.

If the CRM / Email tab does not appear, ensure Free Downloads WooCommerce Pro is active and up to date (addon tab support is in recent Pro versions). Check that your PHP and WordPress versions meet the requirements.

Next steps​

After installation:

  • Configure addon options in the settings screen.
  • Enable or connect any email/CRM integrations you use.
  • Test a free download on the frontend to confirm behavior.
