Symptom: CRM / Email tab does not appear

The addon does not have its own menu. It adds a CRM / Email tab under WP Enhanced > Free Downloads Woo.

Likely causes

  1. Free Downloads WooCommerce Pro is not active — The addon requires the Pro plugin. Activate Pro and reload the admin.
  2. Pro version too old — Addon tab support requires a recent Pro version (with addon settings integration). Update Free Downloads WooCommerce Pro to the latest version.
  3. Addon not activated — Ensure CRM for Free Downloads Woo is activated under Plugins.
  4. Caching — Try a hard refresh (Ctrl+F5 / Cmd+Shift+R) or another browser; clear any admin cache.

What to do

  • Confirm Pro is installed, active, and up to date.
  • Confirm the addon is active.
  • Go to WP Enhanced > Free Downloads Woo and look for CRM / Email.
  • If the tab still doesn’t appear, check for PHP errors in your server error log and contact support.

Symptom: I don’t see where to activate the CRM addon license

The License tab under WP Enhanced > Free Downloads Woo shows “License Management” and your existing WP Enhanced licenses (e.g. one active license with a Deactivate button). There may not be a separate section or field to add or activate the CRM addon license on that page. If you have a CRM addon license key and don’t see where to enter it, contact WP Enhanced support—they can confirm how addon licenses are activated in your setup.

Symptom: License won’t activate

Likely causes

  1. Incorrect or expired key — Check your WP Enhanced account for the correct key and that the license is valid.
  2. Site URL change — Some licenses are tied to the site URL; moving or cloning the site can invalidate activation.
  3. Server can’t reach license server — Firewall or hosting blocking outbound HTTPS to wpenhanced.com.

What to do

  • Re-enter the license key exactly (no extra spaces).
  • Confirm the license is for “CRM for Free Downloads Woo” and is active.
  • If the problem continues, contact support with your site URL and license email.

Symptom: Accounts don’t save or disappear after refresh

On the CRM / Email tab, adding or removing an account saves automatically. If new accounts don’t persist or the list resets:

Likely causes

  1. JavaScript error — Another plugin or theme script breaking the React settings page or the addon script.
  2. REST API blocked — A security or firewall plugin blocking wpe/v1/settings/free-downloads-crm-addon (GET/PUT).
  3. Caching — Cached admin page showing old data.

What to do

  • Open the browser console (F12) on the CRM / Email tab; fix or disable any script causing errors.
  • Temporarily disable security or firewall plugins and try adding an account again.
  • Clear browser and any admin cache, then add an account and refresh the page to confirm it persisted.

Symptom: Email or CRM integration not working

Likely causes

  1. Credentials or API key wrong — Double-check the key and any endpoints in the addon settings.
  2. Pro email capture not enabled — If the addon relies on Pro’s email capture, ensure it’s enabled in Free Downloads WooCommerce Pro settings.
  3. Service limits or errors — The external service may be rate-limiting or returning errors.

What to do

  • Re-enter API keys; ensure no extra spaces or wrong copy/paste.
  • Confirm Pro’s email/download flow works without the addon, then re-enable the addon.
  • Check the external service’s status or logs for errors.
